There is off road parking for 3 cars. Single room in Dorking near station. This is a quiet residential road with easy pedestrian access to the town and plenty of free off-road parking. Warm and comfortable home, large kitchen diner for breakfast, shared bathroom, pretty secluded garden with patios for guests to use. Bedroom has a king sized bed, plenty of storage space and wall-mounted TV. Secure bike storage if needed. Continental breakfast included - fresh home made bread and cake usually available. No extra cleaning fees are charged. My home is on the Greensand Way long distance trail and there is easy access to the North Downs Way national walking trail as well as numerous footpaths straight from the house.

By its secluded nature it is only suitable for access by car. Nearby there are numerous footpaths which give access to beautiful walks through open fields and woodland.

The Surrey hills are famous for cycling and the Olympic Cycle route passes through Gomshall which is just 5 miles away. The historic market towns of Guildford, Godalming, and Horsham are all 20 minutes drive away and offer a huge selection of shopping, entertainment, cafes, and restaurants. London can be accessed by a 44 minute train journey from Effingham Junction, which itself is a 25 minute car journey, with plenty of cheap parking.
Alternatively, trains to London can be taken from Guildford.
Ewhurst is an interesting, varied, and very attractive village set at the foot of the Surrey Hills which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cranleigh is 5 minutes drive away and has many cafes, restuarants and shops. There are good road connections to Guildford, Horsham, Godalming and Gatwick all within 30 minutes. There are many local walks and cycle routes. An excellent base for a country break. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. Ground floor flat opening onto a pretty garden in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Direct access on foot and bike to beautiful walks and off road trails.

There are many National Trust properties a short distance away and some outstanding gardens including Wisley. Double bedroom, Central Dorking. Our Edwardian house is in the heart of Gomshall, a delightful Surrey Hills village near the station and perfect for walkers and cyclists.

This quiet, 2nd floor ensuite room is compact but fine for two, is across from a home office and very private in the evening. The bed can be made as a king, single or two twins, just let us know beforehand. There is tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a desk. Mind your head in the ensuite shower room because it has a sloping ceiling. We provide comfy towels and there is lovely view from the Velux window. This room doubles as our library so you are welcome to peruse the books. Though we love children, the room is best suited for one or two adults. The Compasses Pub nearby has a lovely riverside beer garden, serves Sunday roasts and features music on Friday nights.
There is a mini market at the petrol station down the road and the Gomshall rail station is a short walk away 8 mins with connections to London and Gatwick.
We can suggest scenic walks including the half-mile path to Shere, an ultra charming village used in several well-known films. Shere also has a Co-op supermarket and two pubs. The Olympic cycle race went through our proud little village, as do other similar events, and we are very close to Leith Hill and The Hurtwood, both of which are loved by walkers and cyclists.

The hamlet of Peaslake, with church, inn and local store, yards, is nestled in the heart of the stunning Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet only an hour from central London, Portsmouth or Brighton and halfway between Gatwick and Heathrow. Nearby, picturesque Shere with 13th-century church can be discovered, and various National Trust properties and gardens include Polesden Lacey, Clandon Park and Hatchlands Park.
